When i was on my first char and i was running around in ascalon (post-searing) totally lost as my E/W with a sword + shield i bumped into a guy who invited me into his guild and told me everything i needed to know about the game

My old guild mate was so rich in that times. He often went to uw and fow. And after it he gave away max items sometimes purples, wich ones had very ridiclious prices those days. (because always america had the favor)

Noone has ever done anything worth mentioning for me..i do help others but havnt recieved much help in return,only when the "helper" has sompthing to gain from it.

Its sad (since in over 1 year i havnt recieved any help,i didnt need it but still its not good.) but doing it all on youre own makes you know the game better and get more skilled then when someone dous it all for you.

One nice thing (not the nicest however) that somebody did for me sticks out in my mind.
At the time I was building up my PVE Elementalist to absurd amounts of fire power. An aquaintance of mine gave me an Elemantalist Rune of Superior Fire Magic for free. However, due to my computer totally cracking out on me I lost interest in GW and left the game.
Recently though, I remembered that rune was in my storage and I decided to look for a good price for it (I don't have an Elementalist character anymore).
Went to the nearest Rune Trader and got a quote, how much was it you ask? 6 friggin' thousand that's how much.
It's not much for a high-level character I know, but my Paragon was o9nly level 4 at the time. :P

EDIT: Also, in Cantha, I was right at the beginning in Shing Jea and a random bloke told me to open trade and he gave me an awesome set of daggers which I still use to this day.

One of my guildmates who I never talked to before offered to let me cr with him and his friends. Ever since then we've been best friends ^_^ and cr everynight and help each other out. He gave a sephis axe stance req,
hes given me countless gems hes salvaged out of jeweled daggers for my mesmer armor.
He gave me a req 10 inscriblable sephis axe

and is constantly giving me stuff to help with turning my pve chars pvp ready

I've been so happy I met him online and I gave him a Serpent axe as a christmas present

he rocks <3

Each member in my guild gave me 10k at my birthday hehe, that helped me craft some armor pieces I was missing. Depending on the luck at the day, I usually include an extra green item in my trades, for free. People are very polite when asking to see and complimenting for having it =D

Um, there are a lot of nice things in my GW memeries.

I do remeber when I first start monking back in prophcies. I never monk in anyother games, I perfer bash and slash=P, but my guild need one...so I made a monk.

Of course, I am not that sharp at begining, a long long begining.... I dont mind getting blame every now and then, and I was used to it, its all part of been a monk. But when I was in one of the 3 desert mission, think it was dune.. a warrior player died. I thought "oww..there it comes..another yelling and complaining". Suprice, suprice, the warrior actulay told the team "My bad, I was out of healing spell range, sorry team."

I was like "woooo", I seriously never meet any players that open and admit their mistake that fast and right infront of everyone.
It totaly save my skin=P, ya he is out of my my healing range, but I was so used to be on the wrong end of the stick.
It keep me monking, and helping out at those harder missions with my monk when ever I can.

there were a few nice things that happened to me while playing GW.
like, there was a guy who ive been runnin around in the desert (and those r easy runs). he offered me 1k for each of those runs. i tried to deny and tell him its way too much, but he kept on pushin. nice guy

another thing is, when i was still quite new to GW and i just started makin a monk for the first time. i was sumthin like lvl15 or 16 when i hooked up with a group to do galraths. there were a few high(er) lvls and few equal ones, i was the only monk. at the end, we survived the quest and one of the higher lvls told me "ur a good monk, for bein lvl15/16".. now, that made me pretty proud

An ex-guildie gave me a Millus Pillar for my Earth Ele and a crazy Embossed Scythe for a Dervish i was planning on getting!

I gave a rit who'd bought something off of me on guru a max gold rit scepter as couldn't use it

With my ranger I got a run through Northern Wall by this level 20 ranger and necro, and the necro gave me a decent max gold shortbow, then later when i made my mes, this random ranger came up and gave me ilyannas staff

nicest u say? some awsome dude once gave me a urgoz longbow 50k off cause he said he rembers how it was to be poor no one ever helps ya out. later sold urgoz longbow full price tho (how i got my warriros armor w00t)

Guild Leader told me to go to Guild Hall...so I was like ok...
SO i get there, he says Ill be there in 5 mins.....
*half hour later*
He msgs me sayign that I learned patience....then he traded me 30 ectos...
I refused 3 times and then let in and he said it was a gift cause I was the most patient in guild....

Other than guild stuff, no one ever been nice to me b4...not even a free run...

I can think of dozens of times when total strangers were kind enough to give me very nice equipment. I recall a few gratis runs as well. To be honest my experience with other GWer's has generally been positive as often as its been negative. There are some really cool people playing this game.

But, for all the jerks out there, Just add them to your friends list and when they finally take you off their ignore list after screwing you over/insulting you, you can totally bitch them out then put them on ignore--revenge is soooo sweet.

Stuey gave me a gold staff and wand when I came back from my first rage quit (gave away everything I owned and my account) I was a level8 at the time using a starter wand. If I called in all the favors and money owed I'd be a millionaire again in no time.

I was doing the Abbadon's mouth mission, including the bonus. Once we broke into the stronghold (first gate) and fought around the bridge area (basically following the right wall all the way around and over the bridge), we started fighting towards the gate, decidedly just stopping before breaking that seal by the docks and clearing the path for the bonus. However, the team leader decided, and insisted on, breaking the seal to the docks immediately. The entire team was confused and against this until the leader said there was a black dye drop for me (which would have been up for grabs by the time we got back). So we broke the seal, killed all the jades and mursaat, but left the final seal for bonus until we came back.

In light of Gaile's dragon mask being taken (someone was apparently trying to profit off of it), this gesture above was one I remembered from earlier on in my GW days. (I later earned protectors after completing Hell's Precipice)

I'll skip many of the details.... but due to some issues of my own, I ended up inadvertantly needing 30 Amber, 15 Steel, 150 Tanned Hide and 15k in cash.

A certain someone from these boards popped up and just gave me all that.... and a pair of nifty Zodiac Daggers too... for free.
I ended up having an odd conversation with her for the next few hours.... and as it happens she said she was trying to get Blue and Purple Steel Daggers for their particular skins....

... I've got a pair of Purple Steel Daggers reserved for her that I've since gained, and am still waiting for her to reply to whispers to come and accept them! ^_^;;
